Pruning Sheers and knifeThe Successful Gardener educational program is held the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Ag Center, except July & Dec when no meeting is held. Join us for the February 6, 2020, Successful Gardener meeting and learn steps that homeowners can take to develop and implement your own landscape design. Our speaker will be one of our own Master Gardener℠ volunteers of Union County, Suzanne Wilkerson. Suzanne is a popular speaker and always draws a crowd. The program is free, but you are asked to pre-register by calling 704-283-3801

Our first Lunch & Learn will be February 5, at noon at the Ag Center. The topic is Pruning 101. Bring your lunch and learn the basics of pruning ornamentals and fruit. This Lunch & Learn will be followed up with a Pruning Workshop on Saturday, February 8, 9 a.m.–noon. Dress for the weather for this workshop and bring your pruning tools. Both of these programs are free, however, pre-registration is requested by calling 704-283-3801.

The deadline to pre-register for the Blueberry Workshop that is being held on February 7, is this Friday, January 31. The Workshop will be held from 10 a.m.–4 p.m., with a lecture in the morning and hands-on pruning in the field in the afternoon. The program is free, but pre-registration is required by calling 704-283-3801.
