If you have seen the documentary A Man Named Pearl, Mike is the artist that revived Pearl Fryar's gardens in Bishopville, South Carolina.  Mike has completed the NC State/NC Botanical Gardens Online Certificate in Therapeutic Horticulture program and is an emerging leader in our field. He's also featured in Amy Stewart's latest book, The Tree Collectors: Tales of Arboreal Obsession, as well as many other media outlets who are realizing how essential our connection to nature is for our well-being. Mike is already doing great work in therapeutic horticulture, and he has big plans.
