Available Position: Assistant Superintendent
Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club, located in the western North Carolina mountains, is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant Superintendent. Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club is an 18-hole private club that has an impeccable reputation for high-level service to both members and their guests. It is a family-oriented club with all the amenities of a Championship Golf Course designed by Tom Fazio which opened in 2006. The greens are built to USGA specifications and are A-4 bentgrass. The fairways and approaches are sand-capped and are L-93 bentgrass. Currently, the tees are being renovated, laser level, and re-grassed with Crystal Blue bentgrass and will be completed before May 2024 opening. Mountaintop is open for membership play from May to November with limited access during November. Mountaintop is looking for a strong candidate who has an excellent work ethic and is educated in the turf industry with a minimum 2-year degree and/or turf-related certificate. This position is a great opportunity to learn and advance your career in the turfgrass industry.
The Assistant Superintendent position requires an individual who is self-motivated, dedicated, and organized. Someone that works well with others and can inspire the team. NC pesticide license will be required within 90 days after being hired. Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.
Position Compensation
Base Salary is 50k to 60k + commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Eligible benefits will include 90% paid health insurance on the employee and 50% paid health insurance on a family plan. Dental insurance, 401K matching funds program, and up to 15 days of personal time off annually. Dues are paid for local and national associations. Travel and expenses paid for both national and local seminars. Golfing privileges and a meal are provided daily for lunch during the season. Housing available.
