Therapeutic Horticulture Extension Master Gardener volunteers of Wake County

It is National Volunteer Appreciation Week and we celebrate the amazing, talented, energetic, generous, enthusiastic Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers across the state of North Carolina with much appreciation!!!!!!!!!! Many are doing outstanding work in Therapeutic Horticulture:

Providing direct service in community centers, high school & middle school special education programs, homeless day programs, memory care units, mental health daycare sites, neurogenic rehabilitation centers, prisons, public gardens, residential addiction recovery, retirement communities, skilled nursing facilities, and more.

Teaching workshops, serving as teaching assistants in online classes.

Educating through social media, hosting conferences, supporting the Extension Portals.

Many thanks to each of the Extension Master Gardener volunteers doing this transformative work. We appreciate you, your clients and their families appreciate you, and their caretakers appreciate you!!!! The whole community benefits from your generosity.
