NC State Therapeutic Horticulture and the North Carolina Botanical Garden are excited to announce our 2026 Online Therapeutic Horticulture course schedule! All of our six-week courses are completely online and accessible to busy professionals, volunteers, and students each week at a time convenient to each learner. Completing all four courses results in earning our freestanding Certificate in Therapeutic Horticulture. Join almost 700 students from 45 states and 28 different countries to turn your interest in therapeutic horticulture into proficiency!

Our Introduction to Therapeutic Horticulture has no prerequisite except your interest. After TH1, you are eligible to move on to TH2 and/or TH3, and with those three courses, you’re qualified to take TH4 and earn your certificate.
